because hey, if I’m going to think aloud, I may as well do it somewhere I can get back to.

but I figure the dark version of hyrule that dark link inhabits is probably going to be a lot more gritty and gruesome compared to ‘light’ hyrule; while everyone in the light are pretty okay with each other and good to one another, for example, you can’t trust a soul in dark hyrule. people are enemies of one another, there’s mass theft and murder, and no one really does anything to prevent all of it.
of course, this means dark link operates like that too. psh, killing, theft; no big deal brah, happens all the time.
he’s also kind of scholarly too, to oppose ‘light’ link’s love for athletics. light link plays sports on a team (that’s how he gets the tunic!!) and loves being outside and with and around people. dark link prefers bottling himself up in the dark and hiding and just reading and researching and being on his lonesome.
when he HAS to go out, he arms himself to the teeth and basically… has no morals, aside from “do unto others before they do unto you”, in essence.
he’s a “bad guy” in all definitions of the term - in light hyrule, anyway. in dark hyrule, he’s just trying to survive. (but this also means he might kill someone on instinct in light hyrule LMAO…)
speaking of athletics, i need to figure out just what sport light link plays - i know it’s going to be based off of the way knights fight, so he can have the necessary skills with a sword. he’s the brawn compared to dark’s brains after all.
it’ll probably be something like baseball, but i’ll find a way to mesh sword moves and shields into it :Sa

my brother got me into Inazuma Eleven lately. Which is a sparkly anime about magic soccer, basically. I think they use it to save the world at least once. 8|b
But of course my brain decided to mash my fandoms together, so I started thinking about the various Links having a soccer team, with various Zeldas as their managers.
And Tetra.
She forced them to let her on the normally all-boys soccer team. So now she’s probably a forward, I’m not sure.
(She’s also going to have an awesome hissatsu technique, but so is everyone else, hahaha.)
The uniform’s a rough draft; I want it to look mostly like that, but it still seems messy, and not just because of my messy art skills…
Me and my friend were discussing Morpha and Dark Link.
And then suddenly we were discussing Morpha being Dark Link’s lusus. And then this happened.

FINALLY FOUND THE PEN TO MY TABLET
so have a drawing, finally!!! I have a few concepty sketches of Link for LR, but no scanner to scan’em with, unfortunately. :[
So you guys only get to see the finished product.
I tried to go between a mix of the classic Links and the toon Links with his design (while staying in a modern style so wow look at all these different characteristics); I really like the brown hair, as well as the brown shirt + green tunic combo.
I gave him his own flair, of course; full fingered gloves, his own hairstyle, and a different styled undershirt.
Dark Link looks like shit though; I’ll probably redraw him with his own flair added, actually.
Never mind, scrapped that.
I have something better than a harmonica planned.
More opinions needed, hmm.
This is going to sound silly, but I need a name for a Harmonica for Light Link.
I’ve got Hum of Light, or Voice of Light; but I can’t pick.
I might flip a coin if it ends up with the same amount of votes, like I did for the title.
(Which is Link’s Reflection - sorry to those who preferred the other choices, but the coin picks in this case!)
For those who are curious, Dark Link is also getting an instrument - he’s getting a set of bongo drums, known as the Pulse of Darkness.
(I chose them not just because of the instrument, but it’s also reference to Bongo-Bongo, of course.
I promise I’ll make them look a lot cooler than they sound, too.)

I play Link from the Wind Waker over in a roleplay on Dreamwidth, and he befriended Fi not too long ago, and INSISTED they hang out together.
And then they started drawing and this happened.
